August 23rd | 2pm to 4:30pm | Refugee Women's Health Clinic MS1-4 | We provide a series of classes for women in their third trimester of pregnancy who receive care at RWHC. The goal of these classes is to inform refugee women about RWHC, how to have a healthy pregnancy, delivery process, what to do in emergency situations and general pre-natal/post-partum care. These women are so appreciative of these classes and we would love all the help we can get! Each class runs for 2h (with 1h added for setup/cleanup) and is taught by 1-2 medical students. August 31st | 9am to 12pm | Harm Reduction Alliance Orientation MS1-4 | Please join us for an orientation/training to participate in our CHIP program! The Harm Reduction Alliance is a new CHIP program aimed at teaching members of the community about preventing, as well as recognizing and responding to opioid overdose. We will be hosting this training for anyone who is interested in learning more about Naloxone and harm reduction. This training enables students to work with our community partners such as St. Vincent de Paul and Wesley clinic where they will have the opportunity to engage with and teach members of the community about harm reduction strategies and how to reverse opioid overdose. September 6th | 5pm to 7pm | Night at the Children's Museum MS1-4 | Have a fun Friday afternoon with our community at Night at the Children’s Museum. The Children's Museum of Phoenix opens its doors to the community, giving children the opportunity to explore STEM. Join us for fun activities, including visual impairment goggles, pin the organs on the person, and listening to heart sounds. The event begins at 5:00PM but please arrive 15 minutes early for set up.

Hospice of the Valley MS2-4 | A continuous activity and as long as you have gone through orientation (stay tuned for Fall Orientation date) feel free to schedule times (anywhere from 2-4 hours) and then fill out the google sheet to record your hours. Neighborhood Christian Clinic MS2-4 | The Neighborhood Christian Clinic (TNCC) is a non-profit private clinic that serves an urban underserved population in downtown Phoenix. Medical students gain clinical experience by assisting with rooming patients, medication refills, and other procedures alongside attending physicians.
