Mission Statement 
The mission of the Ob/Gyn Interest group is to foster an interest in the field of Ob/Gyn through shadowing/mentoring opportunities, attending professional conferences, networking with residents and physicians in the field. The Ob/Gyn Interest Group will aim to meet the needs and interests of students at UA COM-Phoenix interested in the field of Ob/Gyn.

Club Activities for the Spring & Fall 2016



Women's Health Week (March 7th - March 11th)
I cannot think of a better way to celebrate international Women's day (March 8th) 
by having an entire week dedicated to women's health and to the specialty of
 Obstetrics and Gynecology! During that week,
 we will have amazing guest speakers from different background and subspecialties that will
 educate students about the fields of ob/gyn.

FULL SCHEDULE: 

OB/GYN across the border: Thursday, April 14th, 2016, B402, 12-1PM
Dr. Manriquez, our beloved faculty advisor took a recent trip to China in December 2015
 where she shared her ob/gyn expertised with Chinese physicians.
 In collaboration with the Asian Pacific American Medical Students Association (APAMSA), 
we want to help students go across the borders 
with some delicious Chinese food while enjoy a ob/gyn but also Global health talk. 


OBGYN Panelist: The Match Process 
September 27th. 2016 
This event featured Dr. Mike Bradythe co-director of the OBGYN residency program at St Joseph/MIHS, with a few of his residents. If you are interested in OBGYN or just want to learn more about the Match process in general, this is a great opportunity to talk to residents and to even have opinions from a program director.

Reproductive Skills Night- December 2016 
This annual event is co-sponsored by Medical Students For Choice. In the past, OB/GYN residents from Banner Good Sam have volunteered to teach various skills including IUD insertion, breast cyst aspiration, and more!
