Association of Women Surgeons

Mission Statement: The mission of The Association of Women Surgeon (AWS) is to empower women to pursue careers in surgical specialties. We hope to promote student exposure to and participation in the multifaceted fields of various surgery topics. AWS hopes to provide a variety of experiences throughout the year such as lunch presentations by female physicians in various surgical specialties, shadowing opportunities during surgeries and grand rounds, and mentoring opportunities.
