Welcome Class of 2030!
The mission of The Association of Women Surgeon (AWS) is to empower women to pursue careers in surgical specialties. We hope to promote student exposure to and participation in the multifaceted fields of various surgery topics. AWS hopes to provide a variety of experiences throughout the year such as lunch presentations by female physicians in various surgical specialties, shadowing opportunities during surgeries and grand rounds, and mentoring opportunities.
AWS seeks to increase female representation in surgical specialties. We are dedicated to connecting aspiring students with accomplished female surgeons who serve as mentors and sources of inspiration. We do this by providing a variety of experiences throughout the year such as lunch presentations by female physicians in various surgical specialties, shadowing opportunities during surgeries and grand rounds, and mentoring opportunities.
