Medical Ethics Interest Group (MEIG)

Mission Statement

The mission of the Medical Ethics Interest Group is to:

- Inform and educate the UACOM-P community on prominent issues in medical ethics.

- Equip students with the toolkit to face bedside and systemic ethical dilemmas.

- Provide avenues to advocate for more equitable healthcare in the community.

- Promote careers in ethics in adjunction to medicine.

What We Do

Explore compelling ethical dilemmas using the bioethical framework through lively case discussions, journal clubs, and talks from experts in the field. Engage in advocacy and real clinical ethics experiences that develop STEP-relevant skills in critical thinking and communication, shaping your future practice as a physician-leader in medical ethics.
