Welcome to the Latino Medical Student Association Webpage!
LMSA Mission Statement:
The Latino Medical Student Association exists to unite and empower current and future physicians through service, mentorship, and education to advocate for the improved health of the Hispanic & Latina/o/x community in the United States.
The organization aims to unify Latino medical students under a common mission, providing a collective voice for underrepresented individuals while actively promoting the recruitment and retention of Latino students across all educational levels. It seeks to educate members on Latino health issues, advocate for the rights of Latinos in healthcare, and create leadership opportunities that empower future Latino leaders in medicine. Additionally, the organization encourages volunteerism and community engagement to make a meaningful impact in the Latino community.
