Student Interest Group in Neurology (SIGN)
Mission Statement:
The mission of SIGN is to get medical students excited about the field of neurology. Neurology is an amazing field that is both challenging and rewarding. Basic neuroscience research is unveiling new information every day that can change how we as future neurologists can treat our patients. New medications are being approved that can change the lives of patients afflicted with neurologic disorders. As neurologists we have the opportunity to see acutely ill patients in the hospital as well as help manage chronic illnesses over decades. SIGN has been established to expose medical students to the amazing opportunities open to neurologists, and to hopefully get more students applying to neurology residencies.
