Mission:
The mission of Music in Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix is to provide students the opportunity to continue their passion for music by exploring the ways music may be applied in healthcare settings through workshops, volunteering, and group performance activities.
Statement of Purpose:
Statement of Purpose:
We provide interactive workshops centered around the application of music in healthcare settings, volunteer opportunities in which we work with patients diagnosed with dementia (ie Hospice of the Valley Dementia Day Club), and casual performance opportunities for students to continue to play in group settings and build their passion for music.
