Welcome Class of 2030!
Welcome to GHIG at UACOMP!
The mission of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Student Interest Group (GHIG) is to foster a community of aspiring healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge, awareness, and collaboration in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. We strive to provide a platform for students to explore their passion for digestive health, promote educational opportunities, and facilitate networking with professionals in these specialties. We aim to provide students with opportunities to deepen their understanding of gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases.
The purpose of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Interest Group (GHIG) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix is to expose students to the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. To this end, the GHIG will provide many opportunities for UACOMP students to interact with and learn from Gastroenterologists, Transplant Hepatologists, and researchers in these fields through events such as lunch talks, hands-on workshops, and more. The GHIG will strive to provide various enriching opportunities for students to learn more about gastroenterology and hepatology, including faculty mentorship and shadowing opportunities.
