Welcome Class of 2030!
We are a student run political advocacy group fighting for a universal healthcare system and patient rights to healthcare both locally and nationally. We believe that healthcare is a human right, and a proper healthcare system contains the three pillars of quality, affordability, and accessibility. We aim to advocate for patients both in and out of the exam room, and believe that political change in healthcare needs doctors involved.
SNaHP is a political advocacy club advocating for a universal healthcare system and healthcare rights locally and nationally. We meet with Arizona Legislators about current issues in healthcare, working on what solutions can be reasonably attained. We also host education sessions about the current healthcare structure of the U.S., compare it to other countries’ systems, and propose changes that can be made to fix our current broken system. We attend the annual national conference and have lobbied the Capital, directly resulting in AZ legislators standing up for Arizonans against the WISeR model. Lastly, we create guides that break down dense political content to aid students, doctors, and everyone in between in advocating for patients. Our goals for this year include continuing forming connections with State Representatives and Senators, raising $15,000 in a medical debt relief campaign, and strengthening our connections with other chapters in Arizona and the West Region.
