The mission of the Med-Peds Interest Group at UA COM - Phoenix is to introduce medical students to the combined residency training program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, with a focus on increasing awareness of its structure, scope, and wide variety of opportunities.

Statement of Purpose:
The Med-Peds Interest Group will introduce and promote the combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency pathway to medical students. Our goal is to increase awareness of Med-Peds as a versatile training option through exposure to physicians who are trained in Med-Peds as well as current residents who can share their experiences and career paths. We hope to support students interested in caring for patients across the lifespan by hosting speaker events, facilitating mentorship, and encouraging attendance at Med-Peds conferences.
