The proposed Law and Medicine Student Interest Group aims to address the intricacies of medical practice and health law. Our target demographic includes students who are interested in hearing from JD/MD’s, lawyers who work on health-related issues, current or former Arizona legislators involved in health policy, and other related perspectives. We feel it is vital for UACOMP students to see opportunities to learn more about the complexities of healthcare law and how they can be involved as future physicians. We welcome any and all students who may be interested.

The Law and Medicine Interest Group is dedicated to providing information about the landscape of health law and policy, legal and ethical aspects of the practice of medicine, and any and all topics pertaining to the nexus of law and medicine. We will host events such as seminars and discussions with experts across both fields to educate and inspire interest in health law and medicine.
